Patients Say

At Affinity Healthcare the patient remains at the centre of all that we plan and do. We believe it is very important to incorporate the views of our patients, and indeed their relatives and carers into our plans and developments. There are several ways we use to hear the views of our important stakeholders

  • Patient Council

This is a forum for representatives from each ward to meet with the hospital advocate on a monthly basis - and this is a place where any issues can be raised and brought back to the hospital management team for action.

  • Patient surveys

These are carried out on an annual basis and provide excellent feedback for us to improve our services. All patients have access to the results on their ward whenever they want to see them.

  • Community meetings

These are held regularly on each ward and this is the right place for all thoughts about the particular ward and service to be raised with the team.

  • Carers and relatives survey

We canvass the views of carers and relatives as their views can often be very different to those of their loved ones.

  • Independent advocate service

This is available on a one to one basis for all client. The advocate will always listen to views of patients and relatives, and offer advice when asked.

  • User involvement Groups

Users are a priority as we set up planning groups for new services. Their views are crucial in making sure we deliver the right service to the right people.

  • Feedback at any time

Patients can also fill in a survey form at any time during their stay if they have comments to bring up.

Here’s a selection of what our patients have had to say about us following our recent annual survey.

I have always been treated as an individual, and the kindnesses I have been shown I cannot put into words. There is a homely atmosphere as well, and however busy the staff they are always cheerful.

I don’t think Cheadle Royal does anything badly. I count myself lucky to be here

This hospital has saved my life
