Eating Disorders Service
Cheadle Royal Hospital
Cheadle Royal Eating Disorders Service has treated many hundreds of challenging patients over the years and our ethos, based upon NICE guidelines, has improved outcomes and lives for many people and their families. The fully-employed team of over 70 medical and nursing staff are expert in their field and lead the way in the treatment of eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorders.
Our service provides for outpatient and daycare support, backed up by a strong inpatient service. The inpatient service comprises three elements:- intensive care, stabilisation and transition to pre-discharge, followed by intensive daycare and outpatient programmes which ease the transfer back to home areas in as short a time frame as possible.
Our clinical teams understand the challenges patients feel in dealing with eating disorders. We can empathetically support both families and patients through their crisis. Our support teams have the skills to work with people to overcome their illness and regain their independence. As the largest joint integrated eating disorders service in the north of England, Cheadle Royal can support patients with the most complex of eating disorders.
